We recently attended the COP26 Open Technology for Sustainability conference in Glasgow hosted by OpenUK and a number of sponsors. It was a fantastic event showcasing how Open Data, Open Source Software and Open Source Hardware is leading the future for sustainable solutions.
Out of the many highlights there was a evening awards dinner where organisations and individuals were recognised for their contributions in key open source technology drivers. Devtank were delighted to be awarded the OpenUK Open Hardware Award 2021 for our test and measurement platform, HILTOP (Hardware-in-the-loop Test Operating Platform). Our mature open source test platform designed around Raspberry Pi CM3/4 is the culmination of several years of development followed by various customer deployments in to diverse industry sectors such as Space, Telecoms, Energy and Scientific Research. Applications range from production test to bespoke control systems and component level testing.
At the same event we were also runners up for the OpenUK Sustainability Award for recognition of our Smart Factory IoT solutions we are deploying into local manufacturing businesses. Our OpenSmartMonitor ENV01 wireless sensor is game changing for small and large businesses who want to start their journey to decarbonise, reduce energy and manage resources more efficiently.
